One of the Web 2.0 tools we learned about was called "podcasting." A podcast is a digital recording or a video recording of a radio broadcast or similar program. It is made available on the internet to the general population for downloading to a personal audio or video player. When creating a podcast, however, you also have to use other Web 2.0 tools while making it. In this case, we used a recording program called Audacity. I had never created a podcast before, so this was a completely new experience for me. The assignment asked us to give a brief introduction to our teaching philosophy. I wrote a script, recorded myself reading it, and added music. I chose the song "The Times They Are A-Changin'" by Bob Dylan because I felt that it was an accurate representation of the changing times in the educational field and how teachers have to adapt to these changes, which includes integrating new and useful technology into the classroom.
